erinazmir.com says hello!

Hi, blogger.com.

It's been a while on this space, after my migration to Wordpress a decade ago. November 2016 to be precise. I am still writing. Still own the blog at Wordpress, albeit multiple domain changes over the years.

I was

little sips of tea
that coffee chic
her little plans

and now, recently changed on October 2024, everydayereen.com. I hope this will be the last domain change. I want to stick to everyday ereen indefinitely. If you click on the link, it will lead you to my current blog, which is still under maintenance as I am giving it a major overhaul with a new theme and whatnot.

I feel like my writing here is an ode to blogger.com itself. Blogger.com was where I first started a blog on November 13th, 2008. I was just 13 years old with a laptop and an excitement to write to the world. 18 years later, there's a lot that happened in my life.

In the past 10 years,

I finished my bachelor's degree in education (tesl) in 2019.
I got married to the love of my life in 2019.
I graduated in 2020.
I had my first child in 2020.
I had my second child in 2021.
I lost my dad in 2022.
Started a new job in 2022.
Resigned from the job in 2024.

Right now, I am a stay-at-home-mom for the foreseeable future. I have no plans on working as my husband doesn't need me doing so, alhamdulillah. I am blessed. Although I wanted (still want) more in life career-wise, I shall be grateful that I get to be home and wait for my husband and kids every day. Whatever life has in store for me in the future, I will be ready and thankful.

If you are reading this post, it means that somehow our destiny line crosses path again. I shall see you on everydayereen.com. Don't forget to say hi!

With love,
Erin.

I'm Moving to Wordpress!

Hi everyone. If you can't access www.erinazmir.com, please use ERINAZMIR.BLOGSPOT.COM to view my blog while I'm setting up my Wordpress website. I finally decided that I should take the plunge today when I was browsing to purchase a template since Black Friday sale is still going on and I was disappointed by the limited choice of layout for Blogger. And I hate the new Blogger interface/dashboard/whatever you call it.

The reason why I always change my Blogger template is because I don't have that flexibility to change my post layout. Some days I'm feeling grid layout and some days I just want the classic post column and sidebar. Almost all Blogger templates don't have that feature and I'm just done spending money on Blogger templates. Wordpress templates might cost more but you can change it up to multiple layout designs in case you get bored of your current one.

I'm migrating to Wordpress myself with the help of Google so please pray for my sanity for the next few days. I will be saying hello from the other side! x

Goodbye, Blogger. Thanks for the 8 years! 💕👋
