I don't think having a custom domain email address is important or anything but I have been wanting one since forever I just never got around to getting it because it's RM80 per year (domain + email) on netkl.com, if I'm not mistaken. I'm already paying RM45 for my domain and I don't think I want to spend RM35 more just for email service because I am in no way a professional blogger that needs a custom domain email address.
BUT.
I did get one because I couldn't help it and the best thing is it is free. I went from using my personal Yahoo mail on my blog to getting a specific one for my blog; erinazmirblog@yahoo.com, to now:
hello@erinazmir.com
AAAAAH I'M EXCITED!!! *SQUEAAAAALLLLS*
I spent an hour almost two to configure everything because it was a pain in the arse having to deal with CNAME DNS MX whatever the heck that was. Now, this will only work if you already have a custom domain (yourdomain.com) and it will not work with url.blogspot.com. I got my email address from Zoho Mail by simply signing up for the free plan. They will guide you step by step on how to configure the DNS settings on your domain control panel so fret not. If you're confused, you can always google for information.
Anyway, you can now reach me at hello@erinazmir.com. I feel so posh just typing my email address out. This is going to be a short post but do check out Zoho Mail if you're interested.
